Other Girls: Women in China
In the wave of the global feminist movement, Chinese women have been left out and ignored. Unlike the historical course of the feminist movement in the West, the historical changes in the status and survival of Chinese women are mysterious and unique. Against this background, the theme of our project is 'Showing Chinese Women to the World'. The project covers the development of the feminist movement in China, the news and stories of Chinese women, and the survival of Chinese women. Our aim is to break down perceived barriers and stereotypes and to present the stories of Chinese women to the world in an authentic, critical and innovative way.

Updated weekly with a series of news stories about women in mainland China, our selections will cover both the progress that has been made and the problems that exist in society.

We will talk to many Chinese women in different social classes, of different ages and growing up in different historical and geographical contexts in China, allowing women to tell their own unique life stories.
Women in History
This section will provide a historical overview of Chinese feminist movements and landmark events throughout history, providing historical depth and context for telling the stories of Chinese women.
Women Power
Women Power tells the story of the quintessential Chinese woman who embodies female strength, more in terms of mental than just physical strength, and the ability to resist and find her own unique way of life in the face of patriarchal oppression.
